XL1509 USB BUCK VOLTAGE CONVERTER

The XL1509 is a buck (step-down) DC/DC converter capable of converting a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 40V to an adjustable output voltage range of 1.23V to 37V. The device is available in 3.3V, 5V, 12V, and adjustable versions. It has a maximum duty cycle of 100% and a minimum dropout of 1.5V. The switching frequency of the device is fixed at 150KHz, and it has a 2A constant output current capability. The XL1509 also features internal power transistors that optimize power efficiency, resulting in low ripple and excellent line and load regulation. It also includes TTL shutdown capability, ON/OFF pin with hysteresis function, and built-in thermal and current limit functions. The device is available in a SOIC8 package and is suitable for use in a wide range of applications such as LCD monitors and TVs, digital photo frames, set-top boxes, ADSL modems, and telecom/networking equipment.
