The capacitive touch sensor module features a TTP229 integrated circuit and offers an easy solution for adding capacitive touch input to your project. It has 16 touchpads that make it a suitable replacement for traditional keypads. This capacitive touch input simulates a button press by detecting a finger’s proximity to a surface within a few millimeters.
This 16-switch digital touch sensor is simple to use and is based on the touch-sensing TTP229 integrated circuit. It comes with a built-in regulator that enables touch sensing through non-conductive materials. There are two modes to choose from: the simple 8-key mode with 8 independent parallel output channels and the advanced 16-key mode with I2C interface output. Users can choose and configure their preferred mode, and sensitivity can also be adjusted.
