Description :
The SparkFun RFM69 Breakout is a small piece of tech that breaks out all the pins available on the RFM69HCW module for easy use
The RFM69HCW is an inexpensive and versatile radio module that operates in the unlicensed ISM (Industry, Science and Medicine) radio band
It operates on the 915MHz frequency and is capable of transmitting at up to 100mW and up to 300kbps, but these values can be changed to fit the application
It supports up to 256 networks of 255 nodes per network, features AES encryption to keep data private, and transmits data packets up to 66 bytes long
SparkFun sells two versions of the RFM69HCW: 915MHz for use in the Americas, and 434MHz for use in Europe, Asia and Africa
The SparkFun XBee Explorer Regulated is a board that takes care of 3.3V regulation, signal conditioning, and basic activity indicators
It translates 5V serial signals to 3.3V so that it can connect to any XBee module
The board is designed to mate directly with the SparkFun Arduino Pro series of boards for wireless bootloading and USB based configuration
It works with all XBee modules including the Series 1 and 2, standard and Pro versions
It includes a 3.3V regulator (5V max input), XBee socket, four status LEDs, and level shifting
This board does not include and XBee module. XBee modules sold separately.
