-This is the SparkFun XBee 3 Wireless Kit, the perfect box full of goodies to get you started using XBees.
-SparkFun XBee 3 Wireless Kit includes:
•2 XBee 3 Modules
•1 XBee Explorer
•1 XBee Shield
-Set of Arduino R3 headers
-Aims to make wireless communication simple
-Connect one XBee to the shield and Arduino, another to the Explorer board and computer to transfer serial data wirelessly
-Can be used to transmit remote sensor data, update a scoreboard, drive a robot, etc.
-XBee Shield mates directly with Arduino Pro or USB board and provides wireless communication with XBee module
-Serial pins connected through SPDT switch, allowing for selection of connection to UART pins or digital pins on the Arduino
-Power taken from 5V pin of the Arduino, regulated on-board to 3.3VDC and supplied to XBee
-Shield handles level shifting on DIN pin of XBee
-Includes LEDs for power and activity indication, brought out reset button of the Arduino, and a 0.1″ prototyping grid
-Only works with 802.15.4 XBee variants and cannot source power for the Cellular XBee line.
