Description:
The Raspberry Pi PoE HAT is an accessory for the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ that allows the Raspberry Pi to be powered over an Ethernet cable through power-sourcing equipment on the network. The PoE HAT is supplied with mechanical spacers and a fan controlled by the Raspberry Pi via I2C. It uses a fully isolated switched-mode power supply and has a DC output of 5V/2.5A. It is a Class 2 device and operates on a voltage range of 37-57V DC. The fan provides processor cooling, and the PoE HAT is easy to install by connecting it to the 40+4 pin headers on the Raspberry Pi. No modifications are needed to the main Raspberry Pi board.
